Welcome all!

I am so very excited to have you all here to read my first ever blog post. Hopefully you will all be back, time and time again.

Lets start out with introductions, shall we?

My name is Cassie, I am currently a high school agriculture teacher here in East Texas. I went to college at Tarleton State University and have my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Agriculture from there. This no way makes me an expert and I am learning more everyday but I do have a good background to build on. We (my husband, sister and I) live on a small ranch (hence the name) and I hope to be able to impart some of the wisdom that I have learned over the years, both in school and in life (mostly by trial and error), to all of your wonderful readers.

My younger sister, Amanda, will also be writing posts on this blog. She is working in the forestry industry and loves the outdoors. She is currently working on her MBA and is a Texas A&M graduate. She will do a more personal intro at a later date.

We bought our "ranchette", as I like to call it, about a year ago and are slowly and surely working on getting it exactly how we want it. We currently have horses that we barrel race and trail ride.

This blog will consist of an assortment of topics to hopefully keep everyone entertained but will focus on projects around the ranch (barn, garden, animals, etc.), natural alternatives, and maybe a few educational posts and freebies.
